NeedHelp is founded
Guillaume de Kergariou founds NeedHelp in France. The marketplace becomes the group’s historic transactional foundation.
- 2020
A chapter with Kingfisher
In November 2020, Kingfisher acquires 80% of NeedHelp. Guillaume de Kergariou retains a 20% interest and continues to lead the business.
- 2023
OctoRenov launches
OctoRenov launches to deliver kitchen and bathroom installation projects for IKEA France customers, covered by the French garantie de parfait achèvement.
- 2024
A new chapter in ownership (MBO)
In July 2024, Kingfisher sells its interest in NeedHelp back to its founder, Guillaume de Kergariou, and the management team. GDK Systems is a French technology group wholly owned by its management.

OctoPlatform launches
Operational experience becomes vertical SaaS for planning and orchestrating complex installation projects. OctoPlatform can be used independently of NeedHelp and OctoRenov.

A new dimension for the group
GDK Systems orchestrates more than €100m of work each year. Its development now brings together a transactional foundation, vertical software and field-delivery capabilities.

A buy-and-build strategy underway
The group has launched a buy-and-build strategy dedicated to retail installation, bringing together complementary businesses and expanding its expertise.
September 2026
A new milestone for the group.
GDK Systems passes €100m in annual orchestrated work, representing 200,000 installation projects and more than 300,000 field interventions.
The group has launched a buy-and-build strategy dedicated to retail installation. It is also preparing to integrate autonomous agents into OctoPlatform from late 2026.
