The group now operates through three complementary activities:

  • NeedHelp, the transactional services marketplace that enables retailers to sell standardised installation services at fixed prices;
  • OctoPlatform, the vertical SaaS that plans and orchestrates complex installation projects, from the initial site survey through handover and the resolution of outstanding work;
  • OctoRenov, its field-execution business unit, which directly delivers kitchen installation projects covered by the French garantie de parfait achèvement for major retailers, including IKEA France, and serves as OctoPlatform’s operational laboratory.

Together, these three activities enable GDK Systems to orchestrate more than €100m of work each year, representing 200,000 installation projects and more than 300,000 field interventions.

With 35 employees, the group reports positive consolidated EBITDA for January to September 2026 and also expects to close the full 2026 financial year with positive EBITDA. It targets a 20% EBITDA margin in 2027.

OctoPlatform helps retailers sell more projects while reducing delivery costs

Kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and made-to-measure storage: for retailers, selling a project does not end at checkout. Between the customer’s initial intention and project handover come measurements, quotations, scheduling, installer assignment, delivery, installation, on-site issues and after-sales service. This complexity affects both sales conversion and project profitability.

Launched in 2024, OctoPlatform already supports more than 6,000 salespeople and tradespeople and covers installation services at 300 stores in France. Available under licence, the SaaS enables retailers to manage their installations: scheduling, installer assignment, orchestration of project stages, incident management and after-sales service. It can be used independently of NeedHelp and OctoRenov, while also allowing retailers to call on OctoRenov’s installation teams when needed.

“In retail, a project that waits too long for its survey, quotation or installer often becomes a lost sale. With OctoPlatform, we help major retailers such as Castorama France sell more projects by improving conversion, and deliver them with less complexity and lower costs. The entire chain has been digitised within our SaaS and integrated into industry-specific workflows.”

Guillaume de Kergariou, founder and CEO of GDK Systems

“Within six months of using OctoPlatform, our installation service reduced the average time between the site survey and order confirmation by seven days, thanks to better visibility into the availability of our partner installers and the progress of customer projects. We are also simplifying day-to-day work for our installers through a digital process that includes electronic signatures on project completion reports. Less administration means more time for our customers. We are continuing to transform our customer experience.”

Autonomous agents to automate retail operations

Having built its transactional infrastructure with NeedHelp and its vertical SaaS layer with OctoPlatform, GDK Systems is now preparing the next stage of its development.

From late 2026, OctoPlatform will integrate autonomous agents capable of handling certain operational decisions currently made manually: reassigning installers, managing an on-site incident from end to end, or preparing a project handover.

“For us, the value of AI goes beyond a simple chatbot. It lies in precise industry use cases, integrated into everyday tools, that automate manual tasks and free up time for salespeople and tradespeople.”

A targeted external-growth strategy in vertical software

At the same time, supported by a banking pool comprising Bpifrance, Société Générale and BPRI, the group has launched an external-growth strategy targeting vertical software companies serving retailers and tradespeople, with the ambition of expanding its capabilities and customer base.

“Over twelve years, we have built highly specialised installation expertise. Our next step will be to automate a growing share of execution and bring together additional vertical software capabilities. Our ambition is to build a technology group dedicated to retail operations. Appointment booking, design, compliance, customer relationships, salesperson training and installer project management: we aim to integrate the entire value chain.

We are therefore looking to acquire software companies serving retailers and tradespeople, generating at least €1m in EBITDA, whose founders want to accelerate growth. Our objective is to bring together complementary solutions that support retailers from the sale of a project through to its delivery.”
